Virginia Fugitive Captured In Catawba County

32-year-old Abiezer Alberto Castillo Bruzval of Blacksburg, Virginia was arrested Wednesday (May 20) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged on a warrant as a fugitive from Montgomery County, Virginia where he is wanted for strongarm rape. An ICE Detainer was also placed on Bruzval.

Following the arrest, Bruzval was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility without bond. A Thursday (May 21) District Court date was scheduled in Newton.
