Richard Franklin Crowder, age 49 of Valdese, was transferred from custody in Catawba County to the Alexander County Detention Center on Monday. He has a previous charge in Alexander County for felony larceny of a motor vehicle. He was detained under a secured bond of $5,000. A September 20th court date is scheduled in Taylorsville.
