Two Taylorsville Women Busted On Felony Drug Charges

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office has announced some felony drug arrests made on Thursday, March 13th. Taylorsville Police and Officers from the NC Office of Probation and Parole assisted in the arrests.

Brandy Diane Benge, age 32 of Taylorsville, is charged with count of Trafficking Fentanyl, one count of Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Fentanyl, one count of Possession of Cocaine, and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Benge was placed in the County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond and has a first appearance in District Court on Monday March 17th.

Benge is also scheduled for Alexander County Superior Court on Monday for 2021 charges that include felony possession of both schedule I and schedule II controlled substances and felony probation violation.

Tracie Michelle Shoemaker, age 43 of Taylorsville, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Shoemaker is being held without bond and is scheduld for an appearance in Alexander County District Court on Monday, March 17th.

Shoemaker has a 2024 charge pending in Alexander County for felony possession of methamphetamine. That case is schedule for court on May 19th in Taylorsville.
