Two Pedestrians Struck Near Taylorsville Post Office

Two pedestrians* were stuck near the Taylorsville Post Office Tuesday evening.

Taylorsviille Police Chief Michael Millsaps says, around 5:50 pm, a postal worker struck the victims. A male was airlifted to a regional medical facility and a female was taken to a hospital by Alexander County EMS.

No report on the conditions of the victims has been released.

The investigation is ongoing.

*The victims were previously reported to be bike riders. We regret the error, the victims were pedestrians.
