Two Men Charged After Stony Point Drug Investigation

Following an investigation, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men on felony drug charges on Tuesday.

Deputies went to a Stony Point residence and arrested 34-year old Cody Wyatt Barker Shepherd of Statesville. He’s charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/ deliver methamphetamine, felony trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Shepherd attempted to flee from Deputies and was also charged with resisting arrest. He’s being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $150,000. Monday, October 30th is listed as a court date.

Buddy Randall Fortner, age 25 of Stony Point was taken into custody and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a bond set at $10,000. Fortner is scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court on Monday, October 30th.
