The bodies of an elderly man and woman were located on Friday in Wilkes County.
Wilkes County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home in the Roaring River Community after a neighbor expressed concern about the couple.
A search of a wooded area near a home was conducted and an elderly white male was located deceased.
Later, a deceased female was found.
Autopsies are scheduled for today.
The names of the deceased have not been released.
The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office says they do not suspect foul play but the investigation is continuing.
