Troutman Police Searching For Suspect

The Troutman Police Department has secure warrants for a Charlotte man.

On 06/13/2024 officers located a vehicle involved in a domestic violence incident on Weymouth Avenue and conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle at the intersection of Charlotte Highway and the I-77 South on ramp.

Officers found the suspect from the incident, Jerome Cunnighman, 40 of Charlotte, to be the passenger in the car. Cunnigham fled on foot from officers. Officers lost sight of the suspect in a wooded area and requested the department’s K-9 Unit to attempt to track the suspect. After tracking for an extended amount of time the K-9 Unit was unable to locate the suspect. Officers did locate 44.10 grams of MDMA and 15.38 grams of marijuana in the vehicle. Warrants have been obtained for Cunnigham’s arrest.
