Traffic Stops Results In Arrest Of Hiddenite Man

Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Hiddenite man Monday evening following a traffic stop.

51 year old Rodney Dean Matlock was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and revoked or suspended tag. Matlock remains in the Alexander County Detention Center as of Wednesday morning under a secured bond of $25,000. He is scheduled to make a district court appearance on May 16th in Taylorsville.
