Town Of Taylorsville Reports Two Wastewater Overflows During Tuesday Storm

The Town of Taylorsville has released information regarding two wastewater overflows during the heavy rainstorm of Tuesday, May 7th.

The Town had a discharge of an estimated 1,500 gallons at Fairway Oaks Lift Station located 121 Wedgewood Circle. The untreated wastewater was discharged into an unnamed tributary in the Catawba River Basin.

Another overflow of an estimated 3,200 gallons was confirmed at the Jay Drive Lift Station located at 272 W Jay Drive. The untreated wastewater was discharged into an unnamed tributary in the Catawba River Basin.

The Division of Water Resources was notified of both events.
