Town of Boone, North Carolina – During the October 22, 2025 Boone Town Council meeting, the Boone Town Council held a brief discussion regarding the proposed development of the Boone Golf Club property. The Town of Boone does not typically comment on proposed
developments. However, given the level of public interest, the Boone Town Council feels it is important to relay that no development applications have been submitted to the Town for the redevelopment of the Boone Golf Club property.
All property owners have the right to explore and evaluate various options for the use of their land. Until an application has been filed, these preliminary activities do not constitute a formal
application.
Should an application be submitted, it will be reviewed in accordance with the Town’s established processes. Certain types of application review include opportunities for public engagement, while others may proceed with an administrative review without public engagement. The plan that was recently shared with the Boone Golf Course Club membership would require processes that include public engagement and, if submitted, will be noticed and advertised in accordance with all ordinance requirements.
