Three people are facing felony drug trafficking charges after their arrest Tuesday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.
35-year-old Ruth Marie Dugger of Newton is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and felony probation violation. She is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $200,000. Thomas Dwayne Simmons, age 33 of Snellville, Georgia is charged with trafficking methamphetamine. He is in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $150,000. 40—year-old Aimie Elizabeth Watkins of Loganville, Georgia is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine. She is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $150,000.All three are scheduled to make initial court appearances on Wednesday in Newton.
