Texas Fugitive Arrested In Catawba County

56-year-old Randall Bruce Mosbey of Hickory was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers on Wednesday on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. Mosbey is wanted by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office in San Marcos, Texas for invasive visual recording, tampering or fabricating physical evidence, and sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.

Following his arrest, Mosbey was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $150,000, secured. An appearance in District Court was scheduled for Thursday in Newton.
