On Monday, March 6th, 32-year old Brittany Jean Blackwelder of Taylorsville was placed in custody. She was jailed for failure to appear on charges of felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Blackwelder was arrested on January 20 on the charges by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. As of earlier today, Blackwelder remains in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $20,000.
