Taylorsville Woman Facing Felony Charges Involving Unauthorized Online Purchases

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Deanna Marie Geoghegan of Taylorsville on New Year’s Eve. She has been charged with 5 counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense. The offenses relate to the suspect allegedly making a series of online purchases and charging them to another person’s account. Geoghegan was also served a warrant from Iredell County for larceny. She has been released under a $51,000 secured bond and is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Alexander County District Court on January 5th.
