Christine Carole Blackburn, age 59, of Taylorsville, was taken into custody on Sunday by the Hickory Police Department and charged with hit and run/leaving scene of accident. She was also cited for multiple traffic-related offenses. She remains in the Catawba County Detention Center and is scheduled to make a court appearance on Monday in Newton.
