Taylorsville Woman Charged With Assault On Officer

Courtney Leigh-Ellen Canipe, age 33 of Taylorsville, was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday and charged with assault on a law enforcement officer. She was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $2,000 bond. December 5th is listed as her court date.

Update: A charge of civil contempt has now been filed against Canipe. She is now being held without bond.
