A Taylorsville teen is being held in Catawba County custody. 18-year old Brevan James McAlpin was arrested this morning by Hickory Police and charged with assault on a female and injury to real property. He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center without bond. McAlpin is scheduled to make an initial court appearance today in Newton.
