Taylorsville Police Make Meth Bust Friday Morning

On Friday at 2:35 am, an Officer with Taylorsville Police Department stopped a vehicle for a revoked license plate on N.C. 16 S near Walmart.

During the stop, a search was conducted and officers located approximately 10.8 grams of meth that the driver had hidden inside of the door panel. The suspect was identified as 58-year-old Kenneth Alan Korte of Hiddenite.

He was charged with

Felony possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Misdemeanor Child Abuse

Due to Korte being on pre-trial release on prior meth trafficking charges, Korte was held under no bond per the pretrial integrity act.
