The Taylorsville Police Department is investigating a pair of incidents from this past weekend that resulted in a stabbing and an assault.
On Saturday, a male subject was stabbed in the chest. He was airlifted to a regional medical facility. No update on the condition of the victim has been released. Police Chief Michael Millsaps said the investigation is ongoing but stopped short of confirming if there was a suspect or person of interest.
Another male victim was struck with a baseball bat on Saturday. The victim refused medical treatment according to Millsaps.
