Taylorsville Police Charge Teens With Armed Robbery…Updated

A pair of Taylorsville teens are in custody after an alleged armed robbery early Monday morning.

At around 12:30 am Officers were called to a location near the intersection of 4th street and 5th avenue. A citizen told Officers he was held-up at gunpoint. A firearm was taken according from the victim.

19-year-old Daniel Lee Taylor of Taylorsville was identified as a suspect. Officers were able to locate Taylor and he was apprehended. The charges include felony robbery with dangerous weapon, felony larceny of a firearm, assault by pointing a gun and resisting arrest.  As of earlier today, Taylor remains in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond.

A second suspect was developed by investigators and identified as 18-year-old Nazir Nafis Miller of Taylorsville. A photograph was released of Miller and posted on 860wacb.com and social media. A shot time after that release, Miller surrendered to Police. His charges include felony robbery with dangerous weapon, felony larceny of a firearm, assault by pointing a gun and resisting arrest. Miller is also being held without bond.

Update: After making court appearances on Tuesday, bond was set for the suspects. Taylor has a bond set at $40,000. Miller’s bond is listed at $20,000.
