Taylorsville Police Arrest Surry County Man

Taylorsville Police Officers arrested 26-year-old Chrisian Rae Garris of Jonesville on Wednesday. He is charged with crime of domestic violence, assault inflicting serious injury and resisting arrest. Garris is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center.

Garris is on probation for felony discharging a firearm to incite fear after being convicted in Surry County in 2025. A series of driving while license revoked charges are awaiting trial in Alexander County.
