Taylorsville Police Arrest Stony Point Man

Taylorsville Police arrested 22-year old Jason Scott Chapman of Stony Point on Friday, April 14th. He was charged with two counts of violation of a domestic violation protection order. Chapman was arrested on August 10th by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and charged with assault by strangulation and vandalism with damage to personal property. He is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $70,000 and was scheduled to appear in District Court in Taylorsville on Monday.

Charges against Chapman are pending in Iredell County that include possession of schedule II , schedule VI controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while impaired. He is scheduled to appear in court on those charges on May 12th.
