Taylorsville Police Arrest Stony Point Couple

The Taylorsville Police Department made a pair of felony drug arrests early Thursday morning following a traffic stop on West Main Ave.

During the stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted. Officers located:
• 13.3 grams of methamphetamine
• 9.1 grams of marijuana
• One dosage unit of Hydrocodone
• Drug paraphernalia

Taken into custody:

Kadi W Laws, 36, of Stony Point. She is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Laws is being held in custody with bond set for $8,000. A Monday, September 8th court date is scheduled.

Laws was arrested in July and charged with felony probation violation. She is serving a 12 month suspended sentence following a December, 2024 conviction in Iredell County for possession of schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joshua Allen Williamson, 30, of Stony Point is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in custody under a $8,000 secured bond. Monday, September 8th is listed as a court date.

Williamson is also on probation.
