Taylorsville Police Arrest Homeless Man…Updated

A homeless man from Alexander County has been arrested again. On Friday, 50-year-old Jeremy Lynn Benfield-Cooper was taken into custody by the Taylorsville Police Department. The charges include disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. Cooper is being held under a $4,000 secured bond in the Alexander County Detention Center.

Update: Monday, August 3rd. A charge of felony probation violation was added against the defendant on Monday. Bond is now set at $24,000.
