Taylorsville Police Arrest Duo For Felony Possession Of Methamphetamine

Two men are facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop by Taylorsville Police on Tuesday.

48-year old Thomas Richard Clark of Newton is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $20,000. A court date is scheduled for Monday, March 13th in District Court.

35-year old Travis Scott Melvin of Stony Point is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation. Melvin is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $30,000. A court date is scheduled for Monday, March 13th in District Court.
