Andrew Emilious Justice

A Taylorsville man already known for stealing a “Concrete Chicken” in 2013 in now serving a jail sentence.

On April 15th, Andrew Emilious Justice was sentenced in Alexander County District Court to serve a total of 180 days on charges of communicating threats and making harassing phone calls.

In February of 2013, Justice became famous or perhaps infamous for the larceny of a large ornamental concrete chicken that weighed over 1,000 pounds. The theft occurred in the Ellendale Community, west of Taylorsville. Justice was able to use a tractor to remove the big bird, parts of which were found several miles away. The story became viral and went worldwide. The suspect was given a suspended sentence for the bizarre act.
