Taylorsville Man Recently Released From Prison Back In Custody

Alexander County Probation and Parole Officers arrested 43-year old James Ashley Sweet of Taylorsville last Friday, February 16th on a warrant for parole violation.

He is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center.

Sweet was released from prison in August of 2023 after serving a 14 year sentence for a series of convictions for felony breaking and entering and larceny and felony larceny of motor vehicles.

Sweet has charges pending in Wilkes County for felony and misdemeanor larceny.
