Taylorsville Man Nabbed This Morning

On Tuesday, February 24th, at approximately 12:45 am, an officer with the Taylorsville Police Department was conducting routine patrol when a vehicle passed at a high rate of speed.

A traffic stop was initiated. During the stop, the officer located numerous pills, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.

33-year=old Ronnie William McCurdy, of Taylorsville, was charged with the following:

• Two counts of Simple Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance

• Simple Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance

• Simple Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance

• Carrying a Concealed Firearm

• Misdemeanor Speeding

• No Liability Insurance

• Improper Use of Dealer Plates

McCurdy is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 23rd, 2026, in Taylorsville.
