Taylorsville Man Nabbed For Violation Of Registered Sex-Offender Status

Mario Mendoza Cazarez, age 24 of Wallace LN in Taylorsville, was taken into custody on Monday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with a violation of his registered sex-offender status by failing to notify law enforcement of an address change. Cazarez is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with bond set for $20,000.

In 2022, Cazarez was convicted on multiple counts of second-degree sexual-exploitation of a minor in Alexander County.
