Taylorsville Man, Moresville Woman Nabbed In Iredell Drug Investigation

On Friday, June 24th, investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at 1484 Charlotte Highway.

Investigators had received information about 47-year old Christine Yvonne Mays of Mooresville actively selling and distributing Crystal Methamphetamine from the location. Surveillance operations were established in the area. The undercover investigators were able to quickly verify the information as reliable and were eventually able to purchase Crystal Methamphetamine directly from Mays.

When the search warrant was executed, Deputies located Mays and a male identified as 33-year old Allen Jennings Campbell of Taylorsville.

A search of the property uncovered a hidden handgun inside the bedroom where Campbell was staying and a total of 22.76 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine valued at just over $2,000.00.

Mays was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Crystal Methamphetamine and Felony Maintaining a Residence for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance. She was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center with a secured bond of $50,000.

Campbell was charged with Felony Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center with a secured bond of $20,000.
