Taylorsville Man Jailed On Felony Drug Charge

Richard Eric Singlestad, age 53 of Taylorsville, was arrested on Thursday, November 16th by the Taylorsville Police Department. He was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. As of earlier today, Singlestad remained in custody with a secured bond of $5,000. A first court appearance is set for today in Alexander County District Court.

Singlestad has previous pending charges for felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell and deliver methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Those charges are scheduled for Superior Court on November 27th.

A pending charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle is scheduled for Wednesday.
