Taylorsville Man Is In Jail Again

Jeffery Michael Minton, age 31 of Taylorsville was arrested on Saturday, March 8th. He was charged with misuse of the 911 system and interfering with emergency communications. As of earlier today, he remains in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond.

Minton was arrested during the evening hours of February 28th by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies. He was charged then with felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, careless and reckless driving and stop-sign violation.

Additional charges are scheduled for a court appearance in Alexander County on March 25th for felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Minton has a number of previous convictions in Alexander, Catawba, Iredell and Wilkes Counties.
