Taylorsville Man Gets Jail Sentence Of 120 Days

Daniel Ray Burgess, age 39 of Taylorsville, was sentenced to serve 120 days in jail on Monday. He was ordered to serve the time after having his probation revoked by a judge in Alexander County District Court. Burgess was given credit for time served (34 days).

Burgess was taken into custody on September 7th for probation violation and taken to the County Detention Center. Upon arrival, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office charged Burgess with felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises. The meth was found in his sock by Detention Officers.
