Taylorsville Police arrested 49-year-old Joe Carl Mitchell of Little River Church RD, Taylorsville, on Wednesday. He’s facing charges of felony obtaining property by false pretense and felony uttering counterfeit currency. A charge of resisting arrest was also filed. Mitchell is being held in the Alexander County Jail with a secured bond listed at $30,000.
