Taylorsville Man Facing Child Neglect And Drug Charges

A Taylorsville man is facing charges following his arrest on Independence Day.

Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 29-year old Paul Manuel Payne for possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with child neglect. Payne was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $5,000. A July 25th court date is scheduled.
