On August 12, 2025, the Alexander County 911 Communications Center received a report of a possible domestic disturbance at 195 Eastfield Lane in Taylorsville.
As Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene, a suspect—later identified as Brock Anthony Rennicker, a 40-year-old from Taylorsville, reportedly threw a large rock at a marked patrol vehicle. The rock struck the rear side window of a Dodge Durango , causing significant damage.
Rennicker fled the scene on foot before Deputies could take him into custody. However, he was located and arrested the following day.
