An Alexander County man died in a crash in Iredell County on Friday. The North Carolina Highway Patrol confirms that Aaron Wayne Taylor, age 57 of Taylorsville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on I-40 West near I-77 in Statesville. The cause of the accident is under investigation, there are no signs of impairment. The crash was reported around 12:40 pm.
