Taylorsville Man Detained

Dexton Markez Banner, age 28 of Taylorsville, was arrested on Monday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with breaking and entering and assault with a deadly weapon. Banner has been released from custody and has a court date scheduled for April 16th in Alexander County District Court.

Previous charges still pending against Banner include shoplifting/concealment of goods and possession of drug paraphernalia in Alexander County.

Banner has charges awaiting trial in Catawba County for felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, shoplifting and driving while license revoked.
