Taylorsville Man Charged With Felony Assault On Detention Officer

A Taylorsville man being held in jail has been charged with assaulting a detention officer.

On June 27th, 31-year-old Roderick Garin Baker was arrested and charged with second-degree trespass and two-counts of resisting arrest. On Friday, July 18th, Baker was charged with felony assault on a Detention Officer at the Alexander County Jail.

Baker has a long history of criminal convictions.
