Taylorsville Man Charged After Report Of Gun Shots Being Fired

A Taylorsville man was arrested early Thursday morning after 911 got a call about shots being fired.

33-year old Trenton Derice Bennett was arrested by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. He’s being held without bond in the county jail.

Bennett has a number of previous convictions that include larceny of a firearm, possession of schedule II controlled substance and intimidating a witness.
