Taylorsville Man Back In Jail After Violating Terms Of His Pre-Trial Release

Michael James Lester II, 44 of Taylorsville, was taken into custody on Monday, August 5th by Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies. He was charged with violating his pre-trial release. Lester was free on bond and and awaiting trial following 2023 charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and injury to personal property. As of earlier today, Lester remains in the Alexander County Jail with a bond set at $50,000.

An Alexander County Superior Court date is scheduled for August 12th.

Lester has charges pending in Catawba County for larceny of motor fuel. A court date in Newton is set for August 19th.
