Taylorsville Man Back In Court Today

A Taylorsville man is scheduled to appear in court today after he was arrested again last week for violating his probation. 38-year old Jeremy Sheridan Murphy remains in the Alexander County Detention Center after his latest arrest on August 7th. He is being held under a secured bond of $5.000.

Murphy was arrested on May 24th and charged with with vandalism with damage to personal property. On the night of Halloween in 2022, Murphy was arrested after allegedly attempting to tackle an Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputy. He was charged then with assault on a government official, resisting arrest and second-degree trespass. Multiple harges are also pending in both Caldwell and Catawba Counties.
