Daniel Lee Taylor Jr, age 19 of Rocky Face Rd in Taylorsville, was arrested Sunday morning by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He’s been charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of controlled substance on jail premises, felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, reckless driving to endanger, injury to real property, failure to maintain lane control, speeding and open container of alcohol violation. He has been placed in the Catawba County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in district court on Monday in Newton.
