Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 39-year old James Jason Perscola of Taylorsville on Thursday and charged him with violating his sex-offender status. He was taken into custody for being on child premises. Perscola is on the sex-offender registry following a 2018 Caldwell County conviction for sexual activity by a substitute parent or custodian. He was given 24 month to 89 months (suspended) and granted 60 months probation. Perscola is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $15,000.
