Taylorsville Couple Busted For Meth Trafficking

On Friday, April 4th, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and North Carolina Probation and Parole Officers arrested a couple on drug trafficking charges.

Christopher Jason Kistler, age 41 of Taylorsville, is charged with two counts of Trafficking Methamphetamine, two counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Controlled Substance, three counts of Maintaining Vehicle/Dwelling to Possess Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kistler was placed under a $250,000 secured bond with a first court appearance scheduled for Monday.

Daphne Regina Walsh, age 43 of Taylorsville, was charged with one count of Trafficking Methamphetamine, one count of Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Controlled Substance, two counts of Maintaining Vehicle/Dwelling or Place for Controlled Substance, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Walsh remains in custody with a $95,000 secured bond. She is also scheduled for a first court appearance on Monday.

These arrests are a result of ongoing investigations that date to 2024 . Officers seized a total of 87.8 grams of Methamphetamine along with firearms and paraphernalia.
