Payton Rose Schwantes, 29, of Stony Point, is back in custody. She was jailed in Alexander County on March 13th on failure to appear warrants. Schwantes is awaiting trial on 2024 offenses that include felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance and felony probation. In 2025, Schwantes was found guilty of possession of schedule II controlled substance. She served time is state prison and was released and granted a suspended sentence.
