Stony Point Resident Returned To Custody

A missed court date has resulted in the arrest of Stony Point man. On Tuesday, 56-year-old William Herbert Pennell III of Lodge Hill Court was detained for failure to appear related to an April charge of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine. Pennell is being held in the county jail under a secured bond of $20,000.

Also pending are charges filed in January by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of schedule IiI controlled substance.
