Stony Point Man Ordered To Serve 90 Days In Jail

A Stony Point man has no plans for 90 days after being sentenced to a stretch in the county jail.

On Wednesday, 36-year-old David Earl Welch was ordered to serve a 90 day sentence for probation violation. He was already serving an 18-month suspended sentence issued in January for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance in Catawba County.
