Stony Point Man Arrested For Violating Sex-Offender Status

Iredell County Deputies arrested 38-year-old John Paul Berry of Lackey Farm Road, Stony Point on Wednesday, February 12th. He’s charged with violating his registered sex-offender status by failure to notify law enforcement of address change. He is no longer listed in custody. A March 6th court date is scheduled in Iredell County Court.

Berry was convicted in 2008 on Alexander County charges of indecent liberties with a minor. In 2019, Berry served a 21 month prison sentence after being convicted in Iredell County for registered sex-offender on child premises.
