Newton Police arrested a Stony Point man Monday evening following a vehicle chase. 25-year old Mark Nmn Torres is charged with felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, reckless driving with wanton disregard, felony possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and multiple traffic violations. Torres is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center and is scheduled for a court appearance today.
